I don't happen to know which protocol it speaks, but basically you
need to:

modprobe paride
modprobe bpck
modprobe pcd
mount /dev/pcd0 /mnt/cdrom

In place of 'bpck', try some of the other paride protocol modules (try
'grep paride /lib/modules/*/modules.dep' to see a list).
