    I get this error message too under Slackware 7.1 (Linux kernel 2.2.17).
    I've installed des ppSCSI-0.91.patch und later the patch-2.2.17-ppdev1.
    I think this error messages comes from the ppSCSI-0.91.patch. Is there
    any possibility to deinstall this patch or exists another patch for the
    kernel 2.2.17 to solve the problem?
