I have a HP 8GB colorado travan that has been working fine for quite
some time.
Suddenly I can't get the drive to work properly. Commands that worked
fine as recent as last week now wedge the machine (make it hang for
several minutes) and diplays the following:.
# /bin/mt -f pt0 rewind
pt0: identify before command: alt=0xc0 err=0x1c0 loop=600001 phase 192
pt0: Request sense before command: alt=0xc0 err=0x1c0 loop=600001 phase 192
pt0: rewind before command: alt=0xc0 err=0x1c0 loop=600001 phase 192
pt0: write filemarker before command: alt=0xc0 err=0x1c0 loop=600001
phase 192
pt0: Request sense before command: alt=0xc0 err=0x1c0 loop=600001 phase 192
pt0: rewind before command: alt=0xc0 err=0x1c0 loop=600001 phase 192
pt0: write filemarker before command: alt=0xc0 err=0x1c0 loop=600001
phase 192
I am running Redhat 6.2 kernel 2.2.18.
Needles to say getting this fxed is critical since the problem keeps me
from doing backups. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
