I am trying to set up an HP 8 GB Parallel Port tape drive with
Red Hat 7.1. Here is what is happening....
[root@www /root]# lsmod
Module Size Used by
[root@www /root]# modprobe paride
[root@www /root]# modprobe epat
[root@www /root]# modprobe pt verbose=1
/lib/modules/2.4.3-12/kernel/drivers/block/paride/pt.o: init_module: Operation not permitted
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.4.3-12/kernel/drivers/block/paride/pt.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.3-12/kernel/drivers/block/paride/pt.o failed
