OK, I have changed it to ECP/EPP, disconnected the drive from the
computer then re-attached, cycled the power on the drive, rechecked
all connections inside and out of the computer, and finally it works...
I am not sure which was the culprit...
Now, just to get it to back up... Thank you to those who made suggestions
along the way.
