[PARPORT] ZIP 100 PLus, SUSE 7.1 Kernel 2.2.18

Suse 7.1 supports my zip. In my box I did:

insmod parport
insmod parport_pc
insmod imm

then lsmod displays that the modules are loaded.
I have checked
1) /proc/partitions and many sda* appeared
2) /proc/filesystems and vfat is supported
3) /proc/scsi/scsi reports my Iomega attached to channel 0.

BUT .....

when I do :
mount -t vfat /dev/sda4 /zip

My box freezes down.

I have Windows 98 on the same box and with windows the Zip works.

What can I do to access the ZIP drive??
