Is there support for SMSC's 37N869 Super I/O controller in 2.4.20?
It seems like basic support is there, with debugging turned on and
verbose_probing active:
SMSC Super-IO detection, now testing Ports 2F0, 370 ...
SMSC chip at EFER=0x3f0 key=0x55 devid=29 devrev=00 type=unknown
Looking at parport.c:decode_smsc() and I see support(?) for:
37c669
37c665IR
37c665GT
37c666GT
The 37c669, goes 1 step futher and calls show_parconfig_smsc37c669(). I'm not
very good at deciphering outb()/inb() calls, what does
show_parconfig_smsc37c669() actually do?
show_parconfig_smsc37c669() seems to just show the capabilities of the chip,
but I'm not sure what gets done with the superios[] array.
If I want complete support for the 37N869 would I have to code a
show_parconfig_smsc37n869() function?
