[PARPORT] parallel port functionality in the "standard" linux kernel config?

    In the linux kernel there is not much parallel port support built-in in
    the standard config.
    Is there any extended documentation saying which option will add what
    capabilities?
    If there only is "parallel port support" - what does that mean exactly?
