Hallo,
i've got a problem with my Iomega Zip Drive.
I compiled my kernel without printer support and with the
scsi, scsi disk an ppa support as modules.
(ppa Version 1_40)
After booting the system i load the modules with:
modprobe scsi_mod
modprobe sd_mod
modprobe -v ppa
With the command dmesg i get the follow information:
ppa: Version 1.40
ppa: Probing port 03bc
ppa: Probing port 0378
ppa: SPP port present
ppa: Found device at ID 6, Attempting to use EPP 32 bit
ppa: Found device at ID 6, Attempting to use SPP
ppa: Communication established with ID 6 using SPP
ppa: Probing port 0278
scsi0 : Iomega parport ZIP drive

scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0, absolute sector 0
unable to read partition table
Is not possible to mount the drive or to execute fdisk /dev/sda
(unable to open /dev/sda). With dmesg i get the message:
SCSI error: host 0 id 6 lun 0 return code = 27010000
Sense class 0, sense error 0, extended sense 0
VFS: Disk change detected on device 08:00
sda : READ CAPACITY failed.

sda : block size assumed to be 512 bytes, disk size 1GB.
sda:scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0, absolute sector 0

The Kernelversion is 2.0.32.
Maybe anybody got an idea.
