Since I still haven't got the web pages updated, here's a brief status
report on what's happening here:

Linus has released 2.1.82. This kernel includes the new 'pt' high-level
driver for parallel port ATAPI tape drives. If you have the new HP 5GB
(which is based on the EPAT adapter), or the MicroSolutions 8000td, I'd
appreciate test reports.

2.1.82 also includes a few small patches to other parts of PARIDE.
The 'pd' driver now supports the 'eject' command on removable media
devices, and a problem with Win95 leaving the door locked has been fixed.
A timing problem with mounting some higher speed CD-ROM drives has also
been addressed.

Here are the major items on my todo list:

     1. a 'pg' driver that implements the same API as the SCSI
'sg' driver, for parallel port ATAPI devices. This
might make it possible to use the standard CD-R software
with devices like the HP 7100e.

     2. a low-level protocol driver for the Noveca RAP// protocol.
Noveca is no longer in business, but I have some information
that should allow us to support their adapters.

     3. audio play support and conformance to the uniform CD-ROM
          interface in the 'pcd' driver.

     4. reworking the existing parallel port SCSI adapters, and
integrating them into the kernel: t348, t358, epsa & epst.
Also, completing the OnSpec/Rancho and Belkin drivers.

     5. one more stab at the Iomega/MSI parallel port floppy tape
          devices (like the Ditto).
