This message comes from include/asm-i386/smp_lock.h

Is this an SMP machine ? And SMP kernel ?

You are presumably using paride-0.94 on 2.0.33, is it also fair to assume
that you are using the version of PARIDE that comes with 2.1.86 ?

I'm CC'ing this reply to the list - perhaps someone else can help
identify what the problem might be. I don't have an SMP machine.
