Has anyone else experienced problems with losing characters at the
beginning of a printed document? I'd thought that adding a delay (for
devices to "gather their thoughts") seemed to make the problem less bad,
but just the other day it bit me again.
The delay should come out, because I don't think it's needed, but I think
there is a bug somewhere (or my printer is faulty).
It might be to do with the IEEE probe. Whenever the problem happens I see
"read2 failed". I'm using kerneld to load lp at the time.
Anyone?
