Originally, the SyJet was only available as a SCSI drive. As such, it
was compatible with the standard Linux SCSI disk drivers.
It was possible to buy the drive with an external parallel port SCSI
adapter - which was actually a "Shuttle Connection". That adapter is
(somewhat) supported by the experimental "epst" driver that you can find
on the linux-parport web site.

Now, apparently you can get an internal IDE version of the SyJet. Although
I have no direct information, I'd expect it to work with the current
2.0 and 2.1 IDE drivers. Some functions (like ejection) are not
supported.
