Everyone (well those who have a ZIP+ drive)
I have just uploaded the latest version of the ZIP+ driver to my web page.
Clear those web browse caches and download this:
http://www.torque.net/~campbell/imm.tar.gz
or
http://www.torque.net/~campbell/ppa/imm0015.tgz
(Both are the same file, some web browsers have trouble knowing what to do
with tgz files).
On thursday I went and splurged and bought a ZIP+ drive. I am now one of
those sick individuals who has a ZIP drive at work and home.
I have been able to mount a ZIP disk, copy linux-2.1.98.tar.gz (11 Mb) to
and from the disk without errors WHILE performing a kernel compile. The
original ZIP driver had problems with heavily loaded systems causing
kernel panics. It appears that this driver has passed that test.
The driver only supports nibble mode. However it is the ANZAC Day long
weekend here in Perth so I should be able to get byte mode done for Monday
(the rest of the world unless you live in New Zealand).
[ANZAC day (25 April) => Australia version of a War Veterans day]
So try the new driver an let me of any problems.
