Hi,

I've been trying to get my Microsolutions 800td parrallel port tape drive
to work with ftape 4.02 (after having been helpfully redirected by
grant@torque.net, thank you), but even though I configured MCONFIG with
BPCK_DEV = 0 as instructed, commenting the standard tape drive option and
uncommenting the BPCK_DEV one, I could not get it to work. I compile and
install everything fine. I 'insmod ftape.o' directly from the
ftape4.02/modules/ directory, suceeding and getting the following
messages:

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

Then I 'insmod bpck_fdc.o' from the same directory, suceeding and getting
the following messages:

but when I try ' mt -f /dev/qft0 rewind' I get the error message:

/dev/qft0: No such device

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sheer El-Showk
