I’ve just submitted a Fedora 10 test update for gutenprint, updating it from 5.0.2 to 5.2.2. The new stable series 5.2.x was released only days after the freeze for Fedora 10. Support has been added for lots of new printers. Please test it out!
One of the new features in gutenprint 5.2 is that it comes with “globalized PPDs”, in other words it can create a PPD for a printer model which contains all the language translations for option names and values. This CUPS PPD extension means that a single PPD can be used instead of one per language.
UPDATE: I’ve also put a newer HPLIP package in testing for Fedora 10.
