The Avahi support for CUPS has been ported to 1.5.0 now. I’ve updated the git repository (tracking upstream CUPS, as well as having feature branches for Avahi):
git://fedorapeople.org/home/fedora/twaugh/public_html/cups-avahi.git
Fedora packages for F-16 and rawhide have been built.

Could you elaborate on what the avahi support in CUPS is exactly? I’m finding very little information online and everytime I want to advertise a printer, I setup avahi & CUPS as 2 separate entities. Is there some automation in CUPS to add printers in avahi?
Thanks!
Currently the Avahi support is that cupsd will advertise its queues to the network; and when manually adding a queue the dnssd backend will search for DNS-SD queues on the network.
