What's the problem with your printer? You didn't give any details in your
mail. Can you post the output from `dmesg' after booting?

It should happen automatically, though there have been reports of a few ports
that seem to fool the probe into believing they're not present.

I've never heard of /dev/par0. What do you get if you do `ls -l' on it?
