>HI can anyone help
>I'm after a boot disk for my laptop to install linux RedHat 5.1
...for instance
ftp://ftp.uni-bayreuth.de/pub/linux/ftp.redhat.com/redhat/old-releases/redhat-5.1/i386/images/
boot.img is what your are looking for...
...but there are a lot of redhat mirrors inside your own contry as well -
see www.redhat.com for those mirror sites.
>I'm just a lowly student and can't afford mutch not even a copy of 5.2
I'm afraid working under redhat 5.1 is not really a pleasure.
Perhaps there is somebody among your fellow students who is willing
to borrow his/her CD-Rom to you? Installing 5.2 or 6.0 (just released)
would prevent you from much trouble, I would say...
bye, bye, Juergen.
