[PARPORT] Parallel Scanner???

Hi there,

in Germany a company called medion is selling Parallel Scanners. I got
one of those
it is called MD 9890.

According their support team this is not just a relabel of an existing
one, but a "special build" for them. It looks a little like a Plustek.
How could I find out what kind of thing it is or which of the
experimental drivers out there could be useful or a starter for me?
Does anybody know?
