recently i tried burning 2 audio cd's with my hp 7100e parallel
port printer, both of these cd's now have errors. I dont know whats
causing these problems, but data cd's burn perfectly fine. both audio
burns 'timed out' right before fixating the cd. here is some output from
various logs.

syslog (when i try to play the cd):
Aug 15 20:05:26 hardcore kernel: ATAPI device hdd:
Aug 15 20:05:26 hardcore kernel: Error: Not ready -- (Sense key=0x02)
Aug 15 20:05:26 hardcore kernel: Medium removal prevented -- (asc=0x53, ascq=0x02)
Aug 15 20:05:26 hardcore kernel: The failed "Start Stop Unit" packet command was:
Aug 15 20:05:26 hardcore kernel: "1b 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 "

dmesg:
paride: version 1.04 installed
paride: epat registered as protocol 0
pg: pg version 1.02, major 97
pg0: epat 1.01, Shuttle EPAT chip c6 at 0x378, mode 5 (EPP-32), delay 0
pg0: HP CD-Writer+ 7100, slave

I use this as my command line:
cdrecord dev=0,0 -v -speed=2 -eject -audio -pad <wav files>

any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
chris
