If you have a 6020es don't you have a scsi version then and not a parport
one?
I have access to a 6020ep that I can't get it to work with epst/ppscsi or
paride/epat or ... (on a different machine I remember being able to at
least detect it, maybe it's the parport on my old home machine)
Here are some of the logs:
Oct 24 20:17:53 054a kernel: parport0: PC-style at 0x378 [SPP,PS2,EPP]
...
Oct 24 20:47:29 054a kernel: ppSCSI 0.91 (0.91) installed
Oct 24 20:47:29 054a kernel: epst.1: version code reads: 0xb2
Oct 24 20:47:29 054a kernel: epst.1: Target 0, bl=36 us=0 bf=0 cm=12
Oct 24 20:47:29 054a kernel: epst.1: Command status 00020000 last phase 0
Oct 24 20:47:33 054a kernel: epst.1: port 0x378 mode 0 test failed (0,1,0)
...
It could be that I have a troublesome EPP implementation on my mb. I
remember having some ppa trouble some time ago. If any of you parport
developers want to follow up on this I'll be glad to help try debug it.
This is on Linux 2.2.13.
Anyway, if I replace the parport cable with a normal 50(?) pin scsi
connector and attach it to my scsi card it seems to work fine.
Chris, I believe we had a deal to let the other know when we got a 6020
to work? Well, that would be now then, assuming you have a scsi card and
the right cable. :)

Identical info here.

Whatever that is ...

These I have not seen (yet). FWIW, I couldn't see anything wrong with your
commands.
My point in writing this was that you probably have a scsi writer (even if
it came with a parport cable), and maybe you should try it with a scsi
card. Of course maybe your problem is fixed in the latest alpha version of
cdrecord.
