Dear friends,

I have a Freeport CD-Star with Serialnumber 4090071. It was build about

the year 1993/94. Freeport Comware later became Freecom. The paralell
CD-Rom works under Windows95 only with the Dos-Driver (power-cd.sys)
from Freecom Version 1.2 which is found on the Freecom-homepage under
"Classic".

I have tried to get it work under SUSE-Linux 6.1 Kernel 2.2.5 with the
several parameters and with and without initializing it with its
Dosdriver and starting Linux with loadlin. (I don't know whether it has
to be initialized at all)

I have tried friq and frpw but I always get the same messages. My PC is
a IBM Thinkpad 755C.

Here is the message.

Is there a chance to get it work? :-(

With kind regards
