    Hi,
I'm trying to get a Freecom traveller CD-R/RW working under RH7 but I'm
having limited success with cdrecord. As far as I'm aware I've got the
parport layer working. (I can read the cdrom) and I receive the following
    messages from modprobe pg

    modprobe pg drive0=0x378,0,0,-1,-1,0
pg: pg version 1.02, major 97
    pg0: Sharing parport0 at 0x378
    pg0: friq 1.01, Freecom IQ ASIC-2 adapter at 0x378, mode 4 (EPP-32), delay 1
    pg0: CD-R/RW RW8040A, master

However when I "cdrecord -scanbus" it fails to display any working devices.
Now at this point I made a possibly erroneous intuitive leap and loaded
ide_scsi.o after which -scanbus gave me -

    Cdrecord 1.9 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2000 Jrg Schilling

    Using libscg version 'schily-0.1'

but if I then try and write to the cd (in dummy mode) I get
    cdrecord -v -dummy dev 1,0,0 -data cd.iso

    Any help would be appreciated
