    Hi,

I have this card with 1 parport on it but cannot configure it
    with 2.2.19 (SuSE 7.2)

The manual says MP9805P. On the card itself it says MP8875.

    lspci reports

00:0b.0 Serial controller: Integrated Technology Express, Inc.: Unknown device 8872 (rev 01) 00:0b.0 Serial controller: Integrated Technology Express, Inc.: Unknown device 8872 (rev 01)

    and cat /proc/pci gives

      Bus 0, device 11, function 0:
Serial controller: Unknown vendor Unknown device (rev 1).
          Vendor id=1283. Device id=8872.
Medium devsel. Fast back-to-back capable. IRQ 10. Master Capable. No bursts.
          I/O at 0xa400 [0xa401].
          I/O at 0xa000 [0xa001].
          I/O at 0x9800 [0x9801].
          I/O at 0x9400 [0x9401].
          I/O at 0x9000 [0x9001].
          I/O at 0x8800 [0x8801].

    I tried

    modprobe parport_pc io=0xa400

but still only had one port listed in /proc/parport
(that is the port on the motherboard).

How can I make this work?

    Wolfgang
