That's very strange; the installer would have used the same modules.
There is an alternative Backpack driver, bpck6, for newer models, but
the installer doesn't have that either!

This looks the closest to being correct. I think the right output is
'1 2 3 4 ...'.
Have you tried fiddling around with the parallel port settings in the
BIOS? Try some different ones.
