I tried the cdrom in dos (made a special bootdisk for it) and there it
works
perfect, so the hardware is ok I guess
but in linux(RedHat 7.1, I keep getting: autoprobing failed, no cdrom found
but when I start the setup after booting in dos, the setup finds the cdrom.
even more:
when starting the bootdisks of redHat 7.1 it works after a boot in DOS,
but this doesn't work in Red Hat 7.2, here it doesn't work, not even with
the driver disk of Red Hat 7.1...
how can I get it to work in linux then?
thanx in front,
nuyts
