    We intend to support all ways of communication. We have a working ethernet and serial connection so what's left to be done is the parallel port. We're also using a customized parallel port cable just like what you have described wherein input signals on one end become output signals, and vice versa.

    BTW, is there any particular reason you're trying to use the
    parallel port rather than, say, an ethernet crossover cable?
