The backpack driver on the 5.0 CD does not work with more recent
backpack drives.

You can fetch a boot disk for 5.0 with a better backpack driver on it:

        ftp://ftp.torque.net/pub/rh5bpcd.img

Use rawrite to copy this file to a floppy and try it out.

It is possible that you may still have some problems - please contact
