Do you have any BIOS settings related to the port, or a SCU program, perhaps ?
If EPP is available, it will have to be enabled at the firmware level.

Ahh ... an oldie. Machines of that vintage seldom had bidirectional ports,
let alone EPP. You are probably getting the best you can out of it now.

There is also an ECP mode, which can achieve higher rates under some
circumstances - but we don't currently support it. Also, those numbers
are "marketing" numbers and represent idealised measurements.
