Please load pcd with the verbose=1 option and send me the resulting
kernel log messages. (dmesg output is fine.)

One thing to try is to force the port delay to a higher value. There
shouldn't really be too much difference between fprw and the old pwcd,
except for EPP support. The CD driver part (pcd) has changed a lot,
however.
