Well then, those web pages tell you to

        - make the device nodes for PARIDE - there's even a script
            there to do it.

        - look at the system log messages when pd is initialised:
            you should see a line like:

                pda: pda1

            which reports the partition structure of the media.

        - mount /dev/pda1

        - if something doesn't work, use dmesg to obtain all the
            relevant log messages and include them with your problem
            report

Since you apparently can't find any of those things, I'm not sure what
I can do to help you ;-)
