  • New print job manager

    A weekend hack I’m really pleased with. Frustrated with the “eggcups” print job manager after getting it all confused again, I wondered how difficult it would be to implement a proper print job manager in Python, on top of the “pycups” CUPS bindings I wrote for the admin tool.

  • Eurovision: Torn

    Thankfully this year there isn’t a song amongst the six UK candidates that I’d be embarrassed for us to be sending to Eurovision, although the Hawkins & Brown attempt was a little disappointing (too much of a mish-mash for my liking).  So who did I vote for?

  • M:I, Count On Me, Mulholland Dr.

    Watching Mission: Impossible III a while back reminded me how good the M:I films are, so we watched the first two again. The first one really was as good as I remembered it being, but I couldn’t remember quite how the second one went. Watching it again, I can see why I didn’t find it…

  • The Royal Tenenbaums

    I found The Royal Tenenbaums to be quite similar to The Squid and the Whale, in that I didn’t really enjoy it.
